Why in the hood, we can't never call something what it is? lol (side joke ladies and gentleman) Anyway; NOTORIOUS, aka "The Biggie Movie" was aight. Being that I'm from Brooklyn (I see you East New York. Bushwick what's good?) I HAD to see it IN A BROOKLYN MOVIE THEATER the day it came out and not a day later. It was good, but there were some inconsistencies. For one, Ms. Wallace is Jamaican...where was Angela Bassett's accent? She still did a good job tho. Second, where the hell was Charli Baltimore? Hello? And the LOX? They played a pivitol role in Big's life. What about Jay-Z? And Un (Lance "Big Un" Rivera) his other right hand man? Third, I think they could have portrayed Lil Kim a little bit better and showed more about what her and Big had and went into depth a little more (remember the fighting and the abortion and all that?!) I honestly think Kim loved him and he cared about her (although he may not have wanted to be with her on that level back then) but that didn't really come across to me. Plus, the way the car accident happened in the movie was NOT the way it happened in real life. (Charli Baltimore was in the car & got seriously hurt too if you didn't know. And it wasn't no light weight crash either).
Derek Luke...smdh...he had "Old Puff" down to a tee didn't he? The dancing was on point! Even his s-curl was perfect!
Overall, I give the movie a B-. Although the movie told me everything I already knew and didn't tell me anything I didn't; I was still entertained. Brooklyn We Did It!
